Karl Rove is upset that Christine O'Donnell won the right, by large voter turnout to represent the Republican party in the upcoming Delaware Senate election. He claims that GOP Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell has said “nutty things” and has ruined the party’s chances of winning the seat.
“I’ve met her. I wasn’t frankly impressed by her abilities as a candidate,” Rove said during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “One thing that O’Donnell is now going to have to answer in the general election that she didn't in the primary is her own checkered background.”
Karl is missing the point. O'Donnell defeated Mike Castle who on all accounts is a vote for the Democratic party. What exactly have we lost? Having a "R" seat filled by some one that votes "D" is not a win or even a case to support. Having the chance to get an actual conservative minded person voting in the Senate is all that counts.
* If she would have lost to Castle and Castle had won in the election, then he, Castle, would vote democratic. He voted for every major democratic legislation available to him.
* If she would have lost to Castle and then Castle lost the following election, that senate seat would still vote with the democrats. Perhaps even vote with some bearded Marxists.
but Karl.....
* She won. Now if she wins in the election, the country has someone that will vote conservative. Someone that will vote against the Democratic Liberal Progressive agenda that is destroying our Life, Liberty and possible pursuit of Happiness.
Mr Rove, stop counting seats and look at the people. A republican in name only is not a win. Even you sir might be missing the anger in this country. Having a majority in Congress of Republicans that do not do pursue conservative agendas is not worth having.
And lets hope the great state of Delaware can elect the "witch". It might finally balance the power of witches in the Congress. The Democrats already have the wicked witch of the West, perhaps the Good witch O'Donnell can remove her ruby red slippers.
You want to hear something nutty? When I was 15, I thought I was a liberal.
