Cuba condems Communism?

Interesting article with an interview of Fidel Castro.  The article: http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2010/09/fidel-cuban-model-doesnt-even-work-for-us-anymore/62602/

"The Cuban model doesn't even work for us anymore."

--Fidel Castro in an interview with The Atlantic

later in the article.....

I asked Julia to interpret this stunning statement for me. She said, "He wasn't rejecting the ideas of the Revolution. I took it to be an acknowledgment that under 'the Cuban model' the state has much too big a role in the economic life of the country."

"In other words, Cuba is beginning to adopt the sort of economic ideas that America has long-demanded it adopt,"

Not sure what else to say, it all seems to be right here.  Less government control.  Less interference by the government.  Less oppresion.  How about that, Fidel Castro teaches us something.

  1. Pretty bad when Castro understands what the US President is confused about.
