"Almost one half of all federal spending (46% to be precise) went to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Read that again - almost half of all the money our federal government spends go toward these entitlement programs."
At what point is it enough? The Goverment movement of capital from one taxpayer to another for these three programs is at an incredible 46% of all spending. How can this be? How did this happen and why did we let it happen.
To understand better, the Government shows up at your door, takes your money and gives 46% directly to one of these three programs. There is nothing to hide this or paint it another rosy color: all they did is take it from you and me and give it to someone else.
This is a redistribution of the grandest scale and most Americans turn their head or shrug their shoulders. No one wants the scorn that would come from standing up and saying, no more! You could hear it now, "don't you love people? don't you love Grandma?" I can no longer see my fellow Americans in need due to the wall put in place by the bureacracy that is the Charity Government of the United States. I cannot choose to help because the Government takes my charity and doles it out to which ever voting block is deemed most in need of purchase.
How about a simple thought experiment. Stop thinking of the hidden trick where the government takes the money before you get it, that wondeful idea called payroll deduction. What if your neighbor did not have a couch. Imagine the government coming to your door, taking your couch, then selling it on e-bay and using 46% of the "profit" to buy your neighbor a couch.
Why and when did the Federal Government become a charity? Other than the obvious reason that it works to buy votes. When did charity stop being local and became national? Why does a desk jockey in Washington DC get to tell me how, who and where my labor should be used and to whom should get it?
Enough!
