Greed

Greed.

People fear it.  Laws try to fight it.  Liberals protest it.  It is demonized, victimized and used to fight any and all ideas of profit or excess.  The odd thing is there is only one way to combat it in the free market.  There is only one way to fight it or defend against it, one.  People will be greedy no matter what the legislator tells them to do but there is a way to limit their ability to pursue it.

Competition.

There is no way a business can charge too much, over charge if you will and gouge the consumer if there is another company (or companies) ready to take a slightly lower profit and remove market share.

Imagine that.  A company charges too much, as valued by the consumer, then the best way to fight it is for another company to sell for less.

Competition; the defender of consumer Liberty.

This blog was built for and funded by myself. Though the road I drove upon to earn the paycheck I receive in exchange for my labor was built by someone else, my tax dollars went towards funding it and the many other functions of our national, state and local government. I am one of the 50% that actually pay for our Federal Government and thus post proudly.
